Dental emergencies are painful and often unexpected. The pain may come from your tooth, your gums, your jaw or a combination of the aforementioned. Depending on the evaluation, some of the common emergency treatments are:
Tooth Extraction…
…if the tooth can no longer be saved. This may be because decay has progressed beyond the gum line, causing severe destruction of the tooth which may necessitate the removal of the broken-down structure. In the event an extraction becomes inevitable, we will discuss the procedure and options for replacement.
Root canal…
…if the surrounding gum or nerve inside the tooth is inflamed and infected due to decay, fracture, or trauma. The procedure involves the removal of inflamed and infected nerve tissues, sealing the tooth with gutta-percha and sealer, and draining the abscess.
